What is the difference between ITIN and SSN?

In Globalfy, we handle the ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) application process, which serves as identification for non-resident foreign individuals in the United States. Essentially, it's your American taxpayer identification number.

The SSN (Social Security Number) is the U.S. equivalent of the Brazilian CPF+PIS. It's a registration number with the IRS for Residents in the US and is also associated with Social Security. This number is not available to non-residents in the United States.

The ITIN application process in Globalfy costs $250 per person and typically takes around 120 business days for issuance.
