Can my ITIN application be rejected by the IRS?

Unfortunately, yes—it can happen.

But don’t worry! In most cases, before rejecting an application, the IRS will send a letter requesting any missing information, such as name, address, or passport details. You’ll have enough time to provide the requested documents so the process can continue smoothly.

In rarer cases, the IRS may reject the application outright if essential information is missing—for example, a missing signature.

In either situation, Globalfy will reapply for your ITIN from the beginning at no additional service cost.

That’s why it’s very important to always send two copies of the required documents, so we have a backup ready in case this happens.
