DBA Process

DBA stands for “Doing Business As”, which refers to a trade name used by a business.


Registering a DBA is optional, but it allows you to:

  • Issue invoices

  • Open a bank account

  • Write checks

  • Sign contracts

—all under a name different from your company’s legal registration name.


Example

Suppose your company is registered as ABC, LLC. If you want to launch a website or product under the name XYZ but continue processing payments under ABC, LLC, you do not need to register a DBA.

However, if you want to conduct transactions directly under the name XYZ, then you must register a DBA.


How to Register

To hire the service:

  3. Select “Register a DBA.”
