This article includes all the information you need about Lili and how to apply correctly for a bank account.
Step 1: Check eligibility.
Currently, only residents of the following countries can apply to Lili: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, and Uruguay.
Likewise, Lili cannot support the following types of businesses activities: charities, cryptocurrency businesses, private ATMs, cannabis businesses, gambling businesses, money services businesses, and firearms-related businesses.
If you are a resident of one of the listed countries and your business activity does not fall into the restricted categories, you may proceed with the application.
Step 2: Prepare documents and have everything ready before applying.
The required documents will be:
- EIN letter
- Valid passport from an approved country
- U.S. phone number or phone number from an approved country (VoIP not accepted)
- Proof of residence (lease, deed, utility bill, or local bank statement)
- The business address must be a physical location in the U.S. (You may use the virtual address here)
- The mailing address must also be the virtual address
- Articles of Incorporation/Organization (State registration document)
- Operating Agreement (Company’s operating agreement)
⚠️The application must be submitted from the U.S. or from an approved country (VPN use is not allowed for this process).
Note: If any requirement is not met, the application will be automatically rejected.
Important: Once the account is approved, you must deposit funds into Lili as soon as possible to ensure the account remains active and in good standing.
Possible additional requirements:
Businesses with multiple foreign owners (UBOs) are allowed.
Each UBO with over 25% ownership must provide their own documentation.
Business owners with multiple companies may create additional accounts after the first one is approved through their Lili Dashboard.
Step 3: Start the application.
First, go to: https://portal.globalfy.com/
Log in with your credentials and from the left-hand menu, click on “Bank accounts”:
Then select the Lili option:
Once inside, enter your first and last name:
Enter your phone number:
Indicate whether or not you are a U.S. resident and enter your identification number and date of birth:
Step 4: Enter your address.
Enter your full residential address.
Select your business type (You can verify this on your formation documents):
Step 5: Describe your business.
In this section, you must write in English a description of your company’s activity, services, where your clients are located, and how you will conduct the business. You will also provide company documentation.
In the “Your business address” section, enter the virtual address provided by Globalfy.
In the “Mailing address” section, also enter Globalfy’s virtual address.
Then write a detailed explanation of your business:
- What do you sell?
- To whom?
- Where (Location)?
- How will you make money?
- Why did you choose to do business in the U.S.?
Example:
Enter the countries where you will have business/clients. (You must always include the U.S. as an option).
If you will be doing business in other countries, you may list them as well.
Enter the expected volume of payments your account will receive monthly:
Choose the account plan you would like to open with Lili. Depending on the type of account, you will have access to more or fewer tools:
This can also be updated in the future.
Then indicate the reason why you are opening a bank account. Choose the option that best fits your case:
Step 6: Confirm all submitted information:
Review everything and click on “Submit your application.”
Step 7: Verification
The system will begin a verification process, and you will need to have your phone and passport ready.
Step 8: Upload your EIN letter:

Step 10: Upload your proof of residential address:
Step 11: That’s it!
The system will show the following message, and you will receive a response from us within 1 business day.
